Overview

.22 Long Rifle
A box of .22 Long Rifle ammunition.

.22 Long Rifle is a sport and practice caliber used by millions of beginners and lifetime shooters alike. Hundreds of plinking rifles, varmint guns, and target pistols come chambered for the rimfire cartridge. It is incredibly cheap and available in large quantities almost everywhere in North America. In NMRiH, .22 LR comes in boxes at a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 20 rounds per box. As a cartridge .22 LR ammunition has a very low damage output and low range performance.
